Sage integration
Omni Field connects to Sage and syncs customers, invoices and payments. A job invoiced in Omni Field reaches your books without being captured a second time, which is where most of the month-end reconciliation work comes from.
What it does
- Connect and disconnect from settings
- Sync customers, so a client created on a job exists in your books
- Sync invoices raised against jobs
- Sync payments, so what is settled in one system is settled in the other
Where it stops
- The integration targets Sage in South Africa.
- Syncing is per account. Each business connects its own Sage company.
Questions
- What actually syncs to Sage?
- Customers, invoices and payments each have their own sync, so a client created on a job, the invoice raised against it and the payment that settles it all reach your books.
- Does this replace my accountant?
- No. It removes the retyping between the job and the ledger. Your accountant still owns the books; they just stop receiving a spreadsheet of jobs to capture.
- Can I turn it off?
- Yes, from integrations in system settings. Disconnecting stops the sync and leaves the records already in Sage untouched.
