Payments

Paystack integration

Omni Field uses Paystack to collect card payments on invoices. You send a payment link from the job or the invoice, the customer pays by card, and the invoice is marked paid automatically. Collection is in South African Rand and no separate merchant account is needed.

What it does

  • Send a payment link with an invoice, or from the job itself
  • Card payments collected in South African Rand
  • Invoices settle automatically when the payment succeeds, with no manual reconciliation step
  • Saved cards for recurring billing, where the customer has agreed to it

Where it stops

  • Collection is in Rand. Other currencies are displayed for reference but charged in Rand.
  • Paystack is the only payment rail. There is no M-Pesa, MTN MoMo or Airtel Money support today.

Questions

Do I need my own Paystack account?
No. Payments for your invoices are collected through the platform, so you do not need to set up and maintain a separate merchant account before you can take a card payment.
Which currencies can I collect in?
Collection is in South African Rand. Prices can be displayed in local currency for South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Egypt, Rwanda and Cote d Ivoire, and the Rand amount is always shown before payment.
Does the invoice update itself when someone pays?
Yes. The payment webhook marks the invoice paid and records the transaction against it, so the invoice list reflects reality without anybody reconciling it by hand.
